Good candidate or wrong tool?

Wire sawing becomes more relevant when:

  • Section thickness exceeds practical blade reach
  • Reinforcement is substantial
  • Vibration and impact must be reduced
  • Geometry or access is unusual
  • Liftable sections are required

Another method may be better when:

  • The cut is shallow and fully accessible
  • A conventional saw can work faster and simpler
  • The structure can be removed whole
  • Rigging or support cannot be resolved
  • The total scope does not justify setup

Wire sawing FAQ

When is wire sawing used instead of a circular saw?+

Wire sawing is considered when concrete thickness, reinforcement, geometry or access makes a conventional blade impractical. The final choice depends on the whole removal plan, not thickness alone.

Can wire sawing cut steel?+

Selected steel and heavy-metal applications may be technically suitable, but not every alloy, geometry or project is a good fit. A technical review is required.

Can wire sawing be performed underwater?+

Yes, for selected projects. Our wire-sawing system can be deployed in coordination with qualified local commercial-diving contractors. The diving scope, material, access, rigging and recovery plan must be reviewed before the method is confirmed.

Is wire sawing a low-vibration method?+

Wire sawing generally produces much less impact vibration than percussive demolition. Site-specific vibration limits and adjacent conditions should still be reviewed before work.
